Collaboration extends beyond the meeting room. Following an afternoon of strategic discussions, knowledge exchange, upskilling sessions and project updates, BEPROACT partners explored the historic city of Lille together during an evening walking tour.
Guided by a local expert, participants discovered the rich history of the city and its role in the development of the region. One of the many fascinating stories shared during the tour was that Lille was first officially documented in 1066, when it had already become an important settlement within the County of Flanders and was developing into a major trading centre.
The walking tour was followed by a shared dinner, providing an informal setting for partners to continue discussions, exchange ideas and strengthen relationships built throughout the project. These moments of networking are an important part of international collaboration, creating opportunities to connect across organisations and disciplines.
The evening offered a fitting conclusion to a productive first day of the Strategic Partner Meeting, reinforcing the value of collaboration, cultural exchange and the strong partnerships that drive innovation within the BEPROACT project.
