Combined Event STORM_SAFE, BEPROACT Interreg NWE and ATHENA

On the 26th of November, the EU-funded projects STORM_SAFEBEPROACT Interreg North-West Europe, and ATHENA came together for a combined session bringing partners from the three initiatives into one shared programme. The session was organised by Natalie Oonk-Abrahams MBA and facilitated by Alexander Hermanns.

The event provided a valuable opportunity for project partners to meet, exchange expertise, and present their respective pilot cases. Through interactive discussions, participants explored a wide range of topics, reflecting the diversity of innovation across the three projects.

The sessions covered subjects ranging from machine learning and virtual reality applications to water safety and “talking assets”. This variety of perspectives and technologies highlighted the added value of cross-project collaboration and demonstrated how complementary expertise can strengthen impact across different domains.

The combined event contributed to reinforcing cooperation between the STORM_SAFE, BEPROACT, and ATHENA projects and laid the foundation for continued knowledge exchange and collaboration. The strong engagement and shared enthusiasm during the session underscored the potential for further joint initiatives in the future.

The success of the event points toward continued collaboration in 2026, building on the insights, connections, and momentum created during this session.
