BEPROACT Interreg NWE Mid-Term Event at Eindhoven University of Technology

From 26 to 28 November, partners and experts from across North-West Europe will come together at the Eindhoven University of Technology for the BEPROACT Interreg NWE Mid-Term Event. The three-day event will focus on collaboration, innovation, and progress in the field of data-driven asset management for critical infrastructure.

BEPROACT is the first transnational Interreg North-West Europe project addressing the growing challenge of maintaining reliable, safe, and future-proof infrastructure assets. These assets include highways, traffic systems, water facilities, and built environments that are increasingly reaching end-of-life, while public authorities face rising pressure from skill shortages and constrained budgets.

The project brings together partners from across North-West Europe to jointly develop and implement solutions for proactive asset management. By leveraging IoT, real-time data, and advanced analytics, BEPROACT enables so-called “talking assets” that can predict their own condition, prevent failures, extend asset lifespan, reduce maintenance costs, and support safer and more sustainable infrastructure management.

During the Mid-Term Event, participants will review project progress across the three BEPROACT work packages: Strategy, Assets, and People. The programme will also include the presentation of 15 innovative smart maintenance solutions across six different asset systems, alongside dedicated sessions aimed at strengthening transnational cooperation and accelerating digital and territorial resilience.

The event will serve as an important moment for knowledge exchange, helping to shape replicable pathways for public authorities across Europe seeking to adopt proactive, data-driven approaches to infrastructure management.

The BEPROACT Mid-Term Event marks a key milestone in the project, reinforcing collaboration among North-West Europe partners and advancing the transition toward smarter, more resilient critical infrastructure.
