BEPROACT at the BCRRA conference 2026
BEPROACT

The BCRRA (International Conference on the Bearing Capacity of Roads, Railways and Airfields) is one of the world's leading conferences for transport infrastructure. Since 1982, it has brought together researchers, industry experts and public policymakers to exchange knowledge on the structural performance of roads, railways and airfields.

The conference covers a wide range of topics, including materials science, pavement assessment, advanced monitoring technologies, climate resilience, sustainability through recycling, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in infrastructure planning. It provides an excellent platform for sharing and discussing the latest developments from the BEPROACT project.

During the 12th BCRRA Conference, held in June 2026, Dr. Mehdi Kalantari, Dr. Léo Sotto and Dr. Dirk Jansen from Federal Highway and Transport Research Institute (BASt) presented the latest results from the Asset Pavements work. Through technical presentations and workshops, they introduced a framework for a standardised workflow for structural assessment based on:

  • Traffic Speed Deflectometer (TSD) data
  • Slope Data Quality Control (QC)
  • Temperature Normalisation

By sharing these developments with the international infrastructure community, BEPROACT continues to contribute to more reliable, data-driven asset management and the future of resilient transport infrastructure.
